There has been an increasing demand for an assurance scheme to accommodate the Independent sector over the last few years and finally ABM/AIMS is in a position to offer such a scheme.

Following an initial approach by AIMS to ABM, the Abattoir, Cutting and Packing Plant Standard has been developed by the ABM Technical Committee in conjunction with AIMS technical and legal advisers. The standard having been agreed in principle has now completed the necessary public consultation process.
