Jason Feeney CBE

AIMS Non-Executive Director

Event Chairman

Feeney brings an extensive leadership experience to AIMS, having previously served as the chief executive officer of the Food Standards Agency.

His tenure at the FSA saw him oversee significant reforms in food safety, public health, and consumer protection. AIMS said his background in leading large, complex organisations, as well as his deep understanding of the regulatory landscape, will be an incredible asset as AIMS continues its mission to represent and protect the UK’s meat industry.

Feeney’s career spans over 30 years, with a wealth of experience driving innovation, strategic direction, and Government relations. As a CBE recipient for his public service and leadership, he has built strong networks with key stakeholders in both the public and private sectors. His experience working with governments and regulatory bodies will provide AIMS with strategic guidance necessary to enhance the industry’s representation at the highest levels.

“I am delighted to welcome Jason Feeney to the AIMS Board,” said Dr Jason Aldiss, executive director of AIMS. “His unparalleled experience, particularly in navigating complex regulatory environments and his vast network in Government, will significantly strengthen our voice as the representative body for the UK’s meat sector. Jason’s insights will be vital in guiding AIMS as we continue to grow and lead the industry forward.”

In his role at AIMS, Feeney will provide expert advice, support the organisation’s Government relations efforts, and drive innovation within the meat sector. It is anticipated that his leadership will further enhance AIMS’ ability to advocate for the industry, ensuring that it remains a prominent and influential voice in shaping policy and addressing the challenges the sector faces.

“I am excited to join AIMS at this crucial time for the meat industry,” said Jason Feeney. “I look forward to contributing to the organisation’s work in representing the industry, driving positive change, and ensuring that AIMS continues to be the leading voice of the meat sector in the UK.”

AIMS said it is confident that Feeney’s expertise and experience will play a key role in further enhancing the organisation’s leadership and advocacy efforts as the sector continues to evolve.
